Return to Business Continuity
ACI develops and completes preparedness exercises in order to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the contingency plan. These drills are tailored to the client’s needs and are based on our core values: Orderliness, Attentiveness and Simplicity.
We recommend our clients to consider a number of types of drills that can be tailored to the business’ size and needs. Some of the more typical drills include:
Notification and awareness exercise This simple exercise tests the business’ ability to contact relevant individuals and also verifies the roles and responsibilities of the recovery team.
Organisational Contingency Exercise for Crisis Management and Recovery Teams This exercise tests the Response Team’s communication and handling of a crisis situation and its ability to apply the prepared contingency plans. These role playing exercises test the quality of the recovery procedures and achievability of re-establishment within the RTOs.
Business Management exercise This type of exercise trains management’s decision-making process and business contingency procedures as well as internal and external communication by presenting management with sets of business dilemmas.
Contingency exercises are an integral part of an established contingency plan. ACI provides consultancy on organizing plans so that the company’s contingency strategies can be followed progressively. Planning ensures that all aspects of a contingency plan are prioritised and tested.
